Being a part of this project allowed me to witness various patients during the covid-19 situation, where they lack the money to buy hospital beds. This design is inspired by Japanese paper folding and origami, so the bed can bend to suit the patient\u2019s needs. As the marketing position in this project, I strive to make a change and make \u201cWiribed\u201d known more in society. Patients with lower income would be able to access these hospital beds with similar prerequisite functions once compared to the regular ones.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Before becoming wiribed<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cEverything started from a story told by a friend of mine at school. He told me that his dad was a bedridden patient, but they could not afford a hospital bed to put in their house. This triggers my curiosity about how come a basic healthcare resource like a hospital bed can hardly be accessible by anyone. As I did some research, whether searching on the internet or asking multiple doctors I know, I had an idea to make a more affordable version of the hospital bed. This could be done by choosing the right material and extracting the core functions of a typical hospital bed that already exists in the market.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cIn the beginning, I had no clue what my project name would be. However, there was a specific moment when my dad sarcastically said, \u201cWe should use mom\u2019s name.\u201d Everyone laughed, but in the end, everyone came to the same conclusion that we should use it as it is meaningful, and sounds beautiful and sweet.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
